Zymar

Zymar is an approved antibiotic medication used to treat bacterial infections of the eye. Gatifloxacin belongs to the class of drugs known as fluoroquinolones. Zymar is available in sterile eye-drop formulation that works by killing the bacteria that causes the infection. Zymar provides rapid and effective protection from eye infections that cause bacterial conjunctivitis (commonly known as “pink eye”). Use Zymar ophthalmic solution exactly as prescribed.

The most common Zymar side effects are blurred vision, changes in taste, dizziness, eye irritations, headache, nausea, and watery eyes. If you experience any severe side effects including eye pain, sensitivity of light, signs of infections, vision changes, or symptoms of a serious allergic reactions (e.g., difficult breathing; itching; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.
